I Found the ultimate solution to duct work: air flow, All kinds of problems that we see in the heating and air industry. We see rooms that are hot or cold, we see duct work issues, we see zoning issues, all kinds of problems, and I finally found a solution that I think would be an allaround solution. So as I go through this if you decide. hey, I want to look more into this I want to purchase the product? You're going to get 10% off on them by clicking the link down in the description of this video and the product I'm talking about is made by a company called Flare.

They make a few different products that are all meant to basically make your system work better, added comfort, and so on. So some of the products they make will work with duck List systems. Some of the products that we're going to go through in just a second will work with your conventional duct work that'll work with the vents coming through your floor or ceiling. And so we've done videos talking about duct work issues, things you can do.

One of the videos I talked about was adjusting the registers themselves. A lot of them have dampers that open and close rather than having a professional come in and install. sometimes expensive Solutions with manual dampers or electric dampers with zoning and so on. And what Flare has done is, they've simplified all that.

They've got these vents that will open and close based on the temperature that you have them set at. and they've got this product called the Puck. The puck is basically the brains to all of this, but the other thing that it'll do is it'll work with that mini split. You have the same system, you'll be able to have one app on your phone and be able to control all of this if you want to.

and so let me back up a little bit. Okay, let's talk about the vents and how they work. So imagine you have a room right that's hot. in the summer, it's not getting enough air.

You go in there and you do all kinds of things to adjust it right. So you go throughout the entire house and you close some of the vents or you have again a pro installed dampers to try to push more air flow or you get super crazy and you actually install more duct work more air to that space. You've either enlarged the ducts or you've added vents to that room to try to equate for that problem. And then you find later in the year as you get to winter time that now you've got this problem where you're dumping all this hot ear into that room and now it's hot.

You know it's this is constant battle. in fact I'll tell you in my own home I've got a part of my house that in the summertime we open all the vents and in the winter time of that part of the house we close all the vents halfway to. Just try to restrict that air just enough to kind of push that air to the other parts of the house. But what's cool is with these smart vents.

that flare makes it will fix all these problems for you that the vents themselves will open and close, adjusting based on the temperature constantly. So if you have some parts of the Year where your home acts this way and some parts of the Year where your home acts that way, those vents can account for all that. In fact, one of the problems we've talked about multiple times in multiple videos on this channel is how heat rises. So if you've got one system supplying the upstairs and downstairs, how that's actually a zoning problem, not a duct work problem.
And the reason it's a zoning problem and not a duct work problem is because if you were to adjust the duct work, if you were to dump more cold air to that upstairs in the summertime, again in the winter time, now you're dumping all this hot air up there. and now it's hot. You know it's it's too hot, right? Physics doesn't care what time of year it is, still rises right. And so of all the videos I've done I've done videos on duct wear problems I've done videos on zoning problems.

If you haven't seen those videos, I would check them out. They've got tips and all kinds of things that might help you as the homeowner understand what exactly your problem is at the end of the day, but never have I found a solution that can solve so many problems. So many homes, homes that the duct work wasn't sized right. Homes that zoning should have been added and it wasn't.

And now to add it, it's going to be thousands of dollars. Homes that there's Comfort issues. and there's rooms that are hot when others are cold and there's just this constant battle. It seems like almost everybody can tell a story.

every home in America almost could probably tell you a story of yeah in my house? yeah I've got that one room again on top of all of that. So now you've got these vents that can open and close based on the temperature, but the same system can now WiFi enable and work with your duckass system. So if you've got a part of of your home that you've added a mini split to, you've added, you know something to that bonus room. or you've got a part of your house that you just needed better.

AC In the summer and you don't even run it in the winter or whatever. Whatever the situation. Now this one product. the one system you can get the puck and it will work with that mini split I Know what you're thinking? You're you're thinking.

Well Josh This is going to create a whole another set of problems. That now we've got problems. Where if too many vents close now, I've got a back pressure problem. I've got air flow issues and I can tell you they've thought of all of that.

No more than a third of all the vents will close at any given time. Another concern you might have is Josh I Like my current setup: I Like the Wi-Fi thermostat that I have I can tell you that this system is compatible with a lot of the main Wi-Fi thermostats that are out there. Ecobe, honey? Well, Nest all the main ones, this system is going to be able to work with that. What if the Wi-Fi goes out? If the Wi-Fi goes out, which happens from time to time, all the vents will open and it won't cause an issue with your heat in air.
Another concern might be what if I have a variable speed system? What if I have a single stage system? It works with all those different types of systems and the last concern you might have is, well, Josh you know, I have a certain part of my house. how does this work? Ultimately, the answer to almost all these Solutions and problems is if you get a puck for each part of your house, so each room, for example, each area that you've got that puck in, you're going to be able to control those Vents and adjust that air flow and create better. Comfort I Got to tell you of all the videos I've done, this is one of my favorite ones. This is one of my favorite products we found.

It's the solution to so many different problems and any of you guys that have seen any of my videos before know that I don't just work with anybody that I don't just accept sponsorships on our channel from just anyone. This is a product that I believe in that I'm like wow, it is the solution to so many different problems too. Little air flow to a one part of the house solution. Too much air flow a part of the house solution does it work with Alexa and Google home.

Yep, it even works with that. And the last thing I'll say is unlike a lot of other products out there, this is not something that you need to have a professional do a complete install to get in the duct work and do all these crazy things. This is something that most handy folks would be able to install themselves. It's a simple installation with no drilling or wiring.

You just take out the old vent and pop in the flare. You can set up scheduling with it so that if you want to run a 7even Day program. if you want to have Auto home and away it has all of that. And the last thing I'll say is you have a 60-day return policy with their products and so in summary.

Again, this product solves so many problems. So many issues. Click the link down below. you're going to save 10% I'm hoping to do more videos with this and be able to actually show you a little more about it, but there's other videos out there that you can check out I Just think it's just a simple but very good product.

That said, let me know what your thoughts are down in the comments section I'd Love to hear those if you like this video I Think you'll like this one even more. It's where I Talk about three issues with duct work I Think every homeowner should know. Thanks for watching Hit that subscribe button. We'll see you next time.

I added a Flair vent in my basement. It's great because I want some heat down there, but it doesn't need to be as warm as upstairs. Definitely recommend it
