Hey guys, i wanted to do a video, that's a little different than what i normally do and i do tons of videos. I've rubbed some guys, the wrong way in my industry. I've actually gotten some haters and some people sending me messages and i've done all these videos on how to arm you as the homeowner to say, hey, if someone's, not up the snuff. Here's how you can figure that out and so on, and basically ways that you as the homeowner ways that you can be armed things that you can bring to the table when you are selecting a contractor or deciding who you want to do business with.

But i think one thing i was talking to somebody on our website newhvacguide.com the other night, and we were just kind of going back and forth on some of the contractors that they've got in their local area and talking about - and i wanted to just say - i Want to do in this video that i think it's really important for you as the homeowner to understand that, once you do find somebody somebody that gives you the warm fuzzies somebody, you know a contractor that you trust is figuring out a way that yeah you want To work with them and you want to make sure you're getting treated right and all that good stuff. But you want to treat them well and i think that's one thing that i've probably missed in some of my videos, where i think i'm basically teaching homeowners. How to protect themselves, sort of attitude, and sometimes that's a little aggressive when you're dealing with a contractor, but i think there's something to be said for once. You do find somebody.

You trust you might not even need my videos anymore. You might have someone, you trust and you can just confide in them and go with what they recommend. The whole point is my videos are not meant to teach homeowners how to treat contractors badly. In fact, if you burn enough bridges and you live in a small enough town, you might have a problem right, so i wanted to do this video, so i could just say: look you know if you have someone, you trust, make sure you treat them well and The last thing with that is just to say my videos are meant to educate you.

My videos are meant to help you as a homeowner and making a decision, and things like that when it comes to your heating and air system and just know that you're not being taken advantage of. So, ultimately, i would say if you have a contractor and they're telling you something different than what i'm telling you in my videos. In most cases, that might be a red flag, but in some cases hey, i don't know everything. They may have a reason.

Why they're telling you what they're telling you and ultimately, if you trust them and you've actually created that connection, that we all yearn for when we're doing business with somebody make sure you're nurturing that make sure you're taking care of the folks that are taking care of You and ultimately, when you've gone through this journey and you've found someone that you trust that you don't burn that bridge. So i hope that helps and then. Finally, if you are in the market for a new heating and air system, if you're in the middle peninsula or northern neck of virginia give us a call griffin air, we would love to earn your business. But if you're not in our coverage area, you're somewhere else in the country - and you are in the market for a new heating and air system before you spend thousands check out my new website, it's called new hvac guide, dot com, i'll, put a link to it Down in the comments and this website, i basically wrote a book made it a guide, put it on this website and instead of having a book that would be outdated within a year or two, i'm able to constantly add things on there.
If new things come out and the other thing is i've even put information on there that people in our industry don't even want you to know so. I've got a whole page called no nose, and you know just things to stay away from, and so on. That being said, thanks for watching hit that subscribe button, we'll see you next time you.

Please I need help! My question is I am being told by a local contractor that a 5ton coil on a 3ton heat pump can be used to get an AHRI rating of 13 Seer in order to get a 1k rebate for my new installation. My problem is I am worried how this setup up will work when dealing with humidity especially being the 5ton evap coil will be in a hot attic. He is stating that when he put the heat load information into Carrier AHRI tool he is being told it would work? I am nervous because I was always told get a matching coil to the matching heat pump/ ac condenser.
