Here we go. Any of you that have been watching my videos for a while, you know that at Griffin Air, we are a Daikin dealer and Daikin has the Daikin One thermostat for a long time I have not been necessarily a fan. if nothing else, the look of the thermostat I've never been a fan of spinny dials old Atari game looking thermostats and of course the Daikin one isn't the only one out there. It was probably one of the only higher end thermostats, one of the only communicating thermostats on the market. When you buy a communicating inverter systems from a lot of the brands, this was probably one of the only ones that had something like that. So Daikin has now announced the new they're calling it The Daikin One Touch Smart Thermostat and I will put some pictures of it up for you guys to look at. but it says we are pleased to announce the release of the new Daikin One Touch Smart Thermostat. The Daikon One Touch Smart Thermostat is the newest addition to the Daikin One ecosystem of products and joining the Daikin One plus Smart Thermostat as a control solution for all Daikin unitary communicating equipment. So any of the equipment that you were able to purchase the Daikin one for you should be able to get this bike in one touch to control it so it doesn't have the little dial anymore. In my opinion, a little more aesthetically pleasing on your wall does look similar to the Daikin one with the display, but this will be obviously all touch here. So I have not laid hands on one yet. During the making of this video, we are being told that we will be able to start selling them as early as December 2022 and start laying hands on them by January of 2023.. The Dike One Touch Smart Thermostat features a user-friendly capacitive touch screen user interface that follows the same user experience that the Daikin OnePlus Smart Thermostat touch screen. The Daikin One Touch Smart Thermostat is also compatible with the Daikin One Home App for end user control anywhere on their Smart device, as well as a voice control compatibility with Just Ask Alexa and Google Assistant. There is also an Open API that allows the Daikin One Touch Smart Thermostat to be integrated into a home automation system such as Crest On or Control 4. A single configurable auxiliary output on this thermostat allows control of an external humidifier, dehumidifier, or secondary heat. Source The Daikin One Touch Smart Thermostat also offers a scheduling feature with up to four scheduled events and an away mode for Energy savings. The Diken One Touch Smart Thermostat also includes one year of Daikin One Cloud services at no additional charge. That's huge! The Daikon 1 cloud services in the past has not been free at all, so this is going to come with a full year at no additional charge, giving contractors the opportunity to monitor their customer systems remotely and build close relationships with their customers. The commissioning and setup process as well as the user interface for the Daikin One Touch Smart Thermostat will be identical to the Daikon 1 plus Smart Thermostat. However, the Daikon One Touch Smart Thermostat does not have the rotating dial and has only one auxiliary output. It's pretty good looking thermostat in comparison in my opinion. Kind of reminds me it's got that dark screen like some of the other big brands that are out there for communicating thermostats. So it is going to be capable of voice control with Alexa and Google Assistant. It's gonna offer multi-language support English Spanish and French. It's going to have the dry contacts for humidifiers and dehumidifiers. That's pretty cool. Not all thermostats have that energy and comfort functions away Mode: Geofencing compatible with Daikin One Home Air Monitor and IQ Visualization: If you haven't seen my video on the Daikin One Home Air monitor, check that out! It's basically where you can see if the air you're breathing is safe to be breathing and what you can do about it if it's not compatible with the Daikon 1 cloud services. and then they will also be an additional Daikin One Touch Smart Thermostat model for ductless and VR V products that will include an adapter and that will launch next year as well. So pretty cool. I Can tell you as somebody that has been selling Daikin for a while now, I've been waiting on this a poor sales rep Eric He would tell you that I have been on Helm multiple times about them needing to do something about that when you sell somebody a higher end system a dike and fit or a 20 Seer so now it's 19 Point whatever CO2 But you get the point. a high-end inverter system. They're putting quite an investment into that system. They're expecting to see if nothing else, something on the wall that looks like they spent what they spent and so this is definitely a better option for that in my opinion. Not laid hands on one yet, but just having something on your wall that appears to be a higher end thermostat or controller is what they a lot of times will call them. It's nice just having that option. I Guess once I lay hands on one I'll be doing a video with it actually in my hands but they just launched this just got word and so I wanted to post that but it's pretty cool that in compare Harrison Now we finally have a really good option. so let me know your thoughts. If you've caught this video, let me know what you think of the thermostat. Good or bad if you are in the mark for a Daikin system, did you like the Daikin one with the dial I Have had customers that love it. It's not just me and my opinions here I'd love to hear yours so thanks for watching. Hit that subscribe button. We'll see you next time.

Let us know if this will work on a Goodman non-communicating 2-stage heat/cool with variable speed blower?

the Daikin 1 is crap, the new one looks to have the same dumb features: no color back ground, hard to read, no weather radar no multi function display, tell us what be we can buy to replace the Daikin one, please !

I personally like the old one better. Love the soft blue or red illuminated light to see at a glance when my hvac is heating or cooling. The old system is touch screen or dial but my wife finds the dial more intuitive to use. Will the new one have the system mode glow light as well?

I liked the look of the old thermostat with the wheel 🤷‍♂️ This still looks nice though

Is there a way to add remote sensor to Daikin one thermostat?

Hope they work unlike Trane. I went thru 2 – 824s and 2-1050 thermostats and neither worked. Ended up going to a Aprilaire that works with my 2 stage Trane furnace. Are you in Orleans ?

Hello. I just had a 4mxl36tvju 21.7 seer split system installed. Am I understanding that there will be some type of adapter to make this work with that product?

    Thank you

That's the wrong way to go, man. Keep your old, perfectly good Honeywell thermostat from the 90's, or Big Brother is going to top you out at 63 degrees in the winter, or some ish like that.

I just wish there was integrated to Apple HomeKit :/
