Have you ever been swimming in a pool underwater and opened your eyes? Your eyes come out and they're beet red! They hurt and they're itchy! Everyone thinks there's way too much chlorine in this pool. But actually, it's because you have low pH. Your pH should be between 7.4 and 7.6 and your alkalinity should be between 100 and 150 parts per million.
