Hey Pool Owners ever wonder how much a single three inch chlorine tablet can treat for a healthy algae free pool? Maintaining the right chlorine levels is essential. A single three inch chlorine pot contains about eight ounces of concentrated chlorine. This pumpkin fruits approximately 5 000 gallons of water, releasing its sanitizing power over a period of seven to ten days. For example, if your pool is 20 000 gallons, you need four chlorine tablets in a floater or your skimmer basket to treat it.

But if you have an automatic chlorinator, just fill it with as many pucks as you can and set the dial about halfway. You may need to adjust this dial over time, use test strips to stay on top of your chlorine reading and to make sure that you always have one to three parts per million of free chlorine in your water. Convert to a salt water system and you wonโ€™t spend another dime on chlorine, algaecide, shock, water clarifier etc etc I was spending about $1000 on chemicals every summer. F that. Last year with salt water I spent $8 on a couple bags of shock. Used 1/2 of it. Chlorine is for chumps

Pucks sounds so much better than tablets, Iโ€™m going to adopt that from now on
