Okay, let's get into these five common hot tub error codes. If you feel comfortable working in your hot tub's electrical components, you may be able to fix these problems yourself. However, if you're unsure, please call in a professional Error Code Number One FL or FLC This code appears when your hot tub is having water flow issues. You might see this code if your jets aren't working or you have something blocking the water in your circulation system.

Start by checking your skimmer for blockages and cleaning your filter. It may also be time to replace your filter cartridge if if it's really dirty. If you've just refilled your hot tub and you're seeing this error code, you may have an airor lock. That's when air gets trapped in your plumbing lines.

You can push out the air by running the Jets on high and then on low for 20 second increments. Check out our other video about fixing hot tub air locks for a complete walk through. The last thing to check is your circulation pump. Make sure this has power going to it.

Finally, if your hot tub is actually flowing but you're still getting this error code, it could mean that your pressure switch needs to be replaced. Its job is to shut off the heater when the water pressure is low. Error Code Number Two o This error code means your hot tub is overheated and it's unsafe to use. First, make sure your water is Flowing properly and your filter is clean.

Then make sure that your pump isn't running for an extremely long period of time. This could cause your motor to overheat. Your hot tub can also overheat if there's been a long stretch of hot weather. so make sure that your spa cabinet is staying cool enough to avoid overheating in the motor.

Finally, if the water isn't actually overheated, but you're still getting this error code, it might be time to check and replace the temperature sensor. Error Code Number three: Dr or Dr y. If there's not enough water traveling through your heater when it kicks on, you'll see this error code. Your heating element can get damaged and even cause what's known as a dry fire.

This happens when your water level dips too low. so make sure your water level is at least halfway up your skimmer and you're never running the hot tub when it isn't properly full. Error Code Number Four: C Or Cool: If your hot tub water temperature drops below 20 to 40 below your set point, this error code shows up first. Put your hot tub cover on and let the heater run for 24 hours.

If your water is still cold, you might need to reset the heater, flip your heater breaker off, and then on. or hit your heater's reset button. If your heater shuts off because your water gets too hot, or you've had air in your lines, resetting the heater will get it going again. Finally, if there's still no heat, you could have a bad heating element and that just means it's time to replace it.

Error Code Number Five SN or SNB This code is an abbreviation for sensor and the letter or sometimes number indicates which sensor is malfunctioning or out of balance. It can also appear when the connection between the sensor and the circuit board is wonky or when your circuit board is fried. In this case, you may need to replace the sensor and that's when it's smart to call in a professional.
