Hey everybody welcome to swimuniversity.com. My name is matt javanese and today i'm going to show you how to use a mineral sanitizer from nature 2.. If you've never seen one before it comes in a box, you can buy it for roughly thirty dollars at your local pool dealer or online at our website, and it looks like a yellow stick: okay, it has a stem in there and it goes inside your filter. Now you let it sit there for about three or four months and what it does is it uses minerals to actually sanitize your hot tub now, because it's using minerals that doesn't necessarily mean that you have to not use chlorine, it actually works well with chlorine.

Minerals are actually a slower sanitizer to kill bacteria, so you still need 0.5 parts per million of chlorine in there just to kill that bacteria that those minerals will eventually kill but may take some time to do so. All you need to do is add again. 0.5 parts per million of chlorine - that's very very little. You won't get that chlorine smell, like you do with a regular hot tub that uses three parts per million of chlorine, and you won't get that eerie, irritated itchy eye syndrome that is commonly caused with chlorine.

Hot tubs, so that's it for using the nature. 2.. If you'd like to get more information on it, you can visit our website. It's swimuniversity.com, you.

so my husband just dropped it down in the hole didn't put the extenders on it attached the one that came in the spa originally. Are we suppose to see it and be able to remove it? Its down in the tube kinda far. How do I remove it? Now we are getting an error message on the spa stating no air flow?

Great content! I’m a Hot Tub newbie here and have two questions when using Nature 2.

1.) When do you put in the .5 PPM of chlorine?

2.) Besides the nature 2, chlorine and test strips, do I need to buy anything else for my hot tub?

3.) Ok, one more question. Even if I’m using nature 2 will I need to still shock the hot tub?

    Thank you!

I was told to used that filter, "Renew" powder, Crystal Chlorine and check the water with test strips to check the chemical balance. But according to Swim University all I need is the filter and Crystal Chlorine ONLY? Any has experience in this?

hi, i just get the Nature 2 mineral sanitizer, I have a hot tube to run with bromine.
I change the water of the hot tube, take the water sample to the spa supply.
The water is city water but is light green on the hot tube.
they recommend to use Nu.clo concentrated granules 4 TBs  and Oxidizing shock 3 TBS plus1 TBS of baking soda 3 times for 1 day and do not use the bromine because the Nature 2 do all the job.
the next day clean the filter and install the Nature 2 mineral sanitizer and live that for 4 months, clean the filter every week.
please let me know if that is the correct way.
    Thanks Richy. Service area Barrhaven??

You are supposed to use Cense with the mineral cartridge. Otherwise there is no way it will stay sanitized.
