With all of the technology today, multiple industries have far surpassed anyone's imagination. However, the HVAC industry still uses the same technologies that it used 40 years ago when it comes to thermostats. Consumer education and technological barriers play a role, but it is just surprising that we still have archaic-looking thermostats which are just a series of switches inside using the same technology as decades ago. Will the industry ever catch up?

    Goodman has a line of furnaces right now where the contractor can connect a smart phone to set up airflow, ac tonnage, and run the heat. It wouldn't be too difficult for them to expand upon that
