Hey hot tub owners, Is your hot tub water cloudy? Here are four common causes: Number one: your chlorine or bromine levels are too low. Number two: there's dead algae or debris in your water. Number three: your pH alkalinity or calcium hardness are too high. Number four: there's a buildup of body oils, lotion, or dead skin cells in the water or even in your pipes to help keep things clear.

Shock your hot tub regularly with an oxidizer. Add a regular weekly clarifier to your water drain, and clean your hot tub with a line flush every three to four months. Follow us at Swim University for more hot tub care tips throughout the year.
