We are searching for an HVAC contractor to replace two 20 plus year old split systems (Thank you for all of your great videos btw). I have found out there are 2000+ HVAC companies in my area. (Desert SW) Also, have come to find out some of these companies are PAYING for good reviews. Needless to say, I am losing sleep trying to find a company that I am comfortable with.
josh – here in southern California we have a barrage of tv and radio advertising from a couple of different company's (one of which uses the term rejuvenation in their commercials) are very overpriced and don't do a good job. I had a friend whose ac broke down and they called out one of these companies and got the big upsell. i recommended that they call the company I use and they replaced the capacitor for a fraction of the cost and its been working great for a couple of years. no upsell and just good work. I primarily use yelp and my local facebook group for recommendations and referrals from friends. Service area Ottawa??
Hello Joshua: I watched your video; it's pretty interesting and many years ago the only source was the BBB and later on some TV advocates. My boss told me "Never trust the triple b" since they get paid to give only good information.-
