Hey guys before we get to today's video, please click that subscribe button. Thank you, hey guys, joshua griffin here serving the middle peninsula and the northern neck of virginia and wanted to do a video. I have to admit that i stole this idea from someone else. So, if scott, if you see this video, i still stole this idea from you.

If you are someone that your thermostat is too small to read it's in a room that you either don't go into a lot or you know whatever. For some reason you don't want to control it from that room or you just want something: a little easier to control some thermostats, the app for that thermostat that wi-fi thermostat is easier to use than the thermostat itself. So we have customers that fit into those categories. A lot of times we'll have customers that maybe they're older, maybe their eyes, aren't quite what they used to be, and it's harder.

You know they got to get their glasses just to read their thermostat and i think after uh hearing this uh idea, i wanted to do a video on it, because it's kind of clever uh, there's thermostats out there that you can spend way. You know gobs of money on that may or may not fix your problem and if they do have a bigger display now you got to re-learn how to use your thermostat all that kind of stuff, and so i heard this idea that i thought was pretty clever. Now, a quick disclaimer! If you do not have wi-fi in your home this, this will not work for you. You have to have wi-fi in your home and you have to have a wi-fi thermostat.

Now you can get a wi-fi. Thermostat they've got some that are fairly inexpensive compared to what they used to cost. So what's the idea, so here's the idea, scott was telling me that they've got customers that either they don't necessarily like the thermostat or it's harder to read. You know the buttons or the things are too small and what they're doing is they are wall mounting a tablet of some kind, so i've got a i've actually got my ipad here.

It's an old-school, ipad and um. They. I just wanted to show you you know. So there's actually the app up for my home.

So imagine this as your thermostat controlling you know that you walk up to and change and see what the temperature is and all that good stuff. Compared to you know this little tiny. You know real tiny number and on a really tiny little display right. So i thought it was pretty clever idea.

You can get tablets right now way less than what some of these thermostats cost. I went on amazon today and there's tablets on there for 50 bucks. You know not as big as this, but you know little tablet there and you can hang it wall mounted on your wall um, so we actually started offering it at griffon air. I mean you can get a tablet fairly inexpensive.

You could put it any in any room in your home that you want to. You know, put one you could put several in your house if you really wanted to, and ultimately he said, the reason that they were doing it is for the display. You know to have a larger display, something that you know. Customers could change see what the temperature is all that good stuff without having to grab their glasses, and i just thought it was a pretty clever idea if you're in our coverage area - and you want a free estimate - give us a call at griffinair if you're, not In our coverage area, but you're in the market for a new heating and air system, you got to check out my new website.
It's called new hvacguide.com i'll, put a link to it down in the notes, but you got to check out this website. You thought this was a good idea. There's way better ideas on that website, i'm putting stuff on there that manufacturers and contractors don't even want homeowners to know in some cases and we're just putting so much stuff on there and it's ultimately a guide to buying that heating and air system so check that Out and please subscribe, thank you.
