I Don't know who did this. See this thermostat wire going to these? Transformers Uh, it looked like maybe they were trying to break something for a smoke detector. They're breaking the high voltage side of the Transformer Guys, that's the low voltage side. That's the high voltage side with an 18 gauge thermostat wire with 240 volts going to it.
This building's been doing this for over 10 years. It's been like this: I Just this is the first time I've serviced these units. Holy Majoli!.

It’s for the fire system but agree it’s the wrong wire size to break high voltage power
If the amps are low enough then it should be okay? If the amps are low then it shouldn't be getting too hot? Educate me if I'm wrong? But I've used stat wire in a pinch.
