Hey Pool Owners: If your pool pump is sucking air, you'll need to find the air leak and you'll need a can of shaving cream to do it. Air leaks in your pool pump can happen when there's a loose pump lid, a crack in the pump housing, faulty thread, sealant, or bad. O-rings and gaskets. So start by looking for cracks, leaks, or bad fittings and replace them.

But if you can't find the air leak, it's time to break out the shaving cream, spread, shaving cream on any possible problem areas. If there's a leak, it will suck in the shaving cream, leaving a visible indent. Follow us at Swimming Diversity for more pool care tips throughout the year.

    You can also run a hose over the different areas of the pump and watch the pump to get full prime. Less messy too
