Which is better for your hot tub? Chlorine or non-chlorine shock. You can use either one, no matter if you sanitize with chlorine, salt, minerals, or even bromine. Chlorine shock can kill contaminants like bacteria and algae, and it breaks down organic matter which can clear up cloudy water, but it's so powerful and concentrated that you'll have to wait a few hours to use your hot tub after adding it. On the other hand, non-chlorine shock AKA oxidizer helps reactivate chlorine or bromine already in your water.

While non-chlorine shock won't help directly kill contaminants, it will help Revitalize your existing sanitizer, which does kill contaminants. You can also use your hot tub 15 minutes after adding it to the water, making it an excellent treatment to add to your hot tub once a week or after each hot tub soak. So which one will you decide to use in your hot tub this week?.
