  1. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars PitStop Roadside says:

They should sell a switch that shuts the system down if the door is left open for more than 5 minutes. Similar to the manual switch you would use if you were unloading a truck or something. It would cut down a ton on people leaving doors open

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bearded Beta says:

I am the same way when trouble shooting. I have to talk to myself and work through it.

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MyNamesDan says:

The process of evaluating the way the evap is iced up is a huge window into the issues itโ€™s been having. Your idea of having a clear ice build up on the bottom being an indicator of the system trying to defrost is not something Iโ€™ve thought of in the past and Iโ€™m sure is correct. Always able to impress knowledge in these vids and Iโ€™m just so thankful for them and you.

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joshua C. says:

Every good technician talks to themselves!

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Turney297 says:

Every tech rambles to himself especially when they're trying to figure out why they're dealing with what they're dealing with. Sometimes it helps to verbalize the thoughts to figure things out

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris Richard says:

Walk in cooler at my bar actually died today. Thanks to what I've learned from you I was able to diagnose a shorted start winding. Now to get a tech out to actually fix it…..

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars A Wilson says:

Of COURSE you talk to yourself all the time…

How else are you going to have an Intelligent Conversation?

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Qovro says:

That time clock looked immaculate, which makes me think it isn't that old. Are analog timers still popular? What are the pros and cons compared to a digital timer?

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steve Urbach says:

Why not measure the Heater current at the clock? Once they are proved, Mark the timer with the reading, to have it available for a quick check. Service area Nepean??

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mateo Firecracker says:

management needs to post a note on the door "if you want to be paid…………. LEAVE THE DAMN DOOR SHUT!!" Are you in Barrhaven ?

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars CorDawgYT says:

Chris I've been watching the channel from the very beginning , learned a lot from you over the years .
If I may give you my 2 cents : for the past couple years the talk at the end of the video has gradually been getting longer and longer and we're now at a point where it's in fact longer than the actual footage .
I gotta be honest mate , I think this is a bit too much innit .
Just my 2 cents , I would have said it via email but you get so many these days I doubt you would have read it . Service area Kanata??

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bob Gallo says:

Very good explanation of what you are doing. I used to do commercial , but that's refrigeration, don't really miss it

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Justin Medeiros says:

This is the best service call channel in my (HVAC) opinion.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Naus says:

Been using that same sprayer and it works great! Thanks for showing me.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars nathan macdonald says:

For melting ice on the coil with your hose, where is the best place to hook up your hose? Service area Orleans??

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Glen Coco says:

I'm the one man HVACR division of a nashville remodel company and I've recently been tossed into commercial refrigeration and honestly I'd have no idea where to start if it weren't for your videos and others like you. I get they're not meant to be walkthroughs or training videos but watching thought processes and troubleshooting processes is how I, and I assume the majority of us, learned in the first place. HVACR is the only trade in which I've experienced the level of care to pass on knowledge to the next guy and the consistent pride taken in our work. We appreciate you, king.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Anthony Clark says:

I am enjoying your videos , Iโ€™m not in HVAC business, I a, a swimming pool service technician, I am learning from you on how to be testing electricial and to help me troubleshoot things better. Keep up the good videos

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Taylor Bateman says:

Hot water burns through ice the fastest! I have a several pump sprayers if I canโ€™t get a hose on it or donโ€™t want to get hoses out. I have a similar hose sprayer with the mist and shower settings!

I also fight the good fight of keeping doors closed. I show the customer the dirt on their coils and this one was pretty clean compared to many! Dirt does and lint doesnโ€™t just magically appear in a unit.

My company built coolers for a research lab at a large hospital in Memphis. They complained about mold in their cooler and had the nerve to argue me that they arenโ€™t keeping the door open even though you could see tons of dirt and lint on the coils! Haha research scientist arguing me about a door being closed with clear evidence ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars DK D122 says:

I talk to myself all the time. If anyone points it out, I just tell them that I need someone intelligent to talk to.

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Thomas Lockard says:

Talking to yourself through a technical issue is normal for most techs and mechanics.
Most of your viewers understand this as they do so themselves either internally or vocally.
In a way it is part of the process to gather, retain, and discard finds and probabilities preventing brain hash.

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars D. B. - Vintage says:

I have learned a lot about refrigeration by watching your videos . I have a GE built-in refrigerator that actually uses a fan delay after defroster runs.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ferroequinologist of Colorado says:

While Iโ€™m not in HVAC I do the EXACT SAME thing of talking to myself about what Iโ€™m doing as Iโ€™m doing it.

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ferroequinologist of Colorado says:

While Iโ€™m not in HVAC I do the EXACT SAME thing of talking to myself about what Iโ€™m doing as Iโ€™m doing it.

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Danny says:

Whatโ€™s your best process when you have a failed pan heater and you canโ€™t melt the ice
    Without water going everywhere? Thanks.

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rocker says:

If the heaters are working why is there ice on the coil? Are you in Kanata ?
