You should make a video addressing the most important thing’s you should see during an install. Rx-11 flush, blowing out drain, brazing with nitro, wet rag on txv, 500-300 micron vacuum etc

Soon as they start giving out tax credits the manufacturers will raise the price of equipment. Just like what happened with every other single thing the government gave money to people for.

So appreciate you trying to explain the tax code for us but its just 5 mins of wasted time and mass confusion by saying things that may or may not be true that you don't know anything about. Short answer is contact your tax preparer. Are you in Nepean ?

There is a lot of money in the Act for Heat Pumps. Effective 1/1/2023, up to $2,000 tax credit. States will have $4,000 or $8,000 heat pump rebates depending on income qualifications – more to come on that as details per state need to be sorted out. Moral of the story – I am waiting to install new HVAC system as I could save up to $6,000. I would do just AC, but the incentive is there for heat pump.

Inflation reduction: print more money and hand it out. 🤯

"Tax reduction" usually means subtract it from your AGI before looking up tax you owe. Not subtracted from tax you owe. But they wouldn't call it "income reduction"!
"Truth in advertising" doesn't apply to the govt. I wish it did!

Regardless, the incentive described can only benefit those with taxable incomes above the threshold. Retirees living within the bounds of SS and modest pensions just have to pay the higher prices. Thanks again, Joe! Too kind.
