Yikes! And this is why you should winterize your pool each year. What happens when your pool turns into a giant ice cube like this? Well, that ice can expand and crack, especially if it gets into your plumbing. That's why inground pool owners need to blow out their lines and winter eyes. Their skimmer, their pump, and their filter.

Any standing water that's left inside your pipes or equipment can cause ice damage, but why not just drain the pool? Well, that can cause damage, too. You know, inground pools like this can actually pop out of the ground if they don't have any water inside them, and even above ground pools can collapse if they're entirely drained. So consider this a friendly reminder to winterize your pool so it doesn't become an icy disaster. And be sure to check out the pool guy for more videos like this.

Could you talk about how climate change is impacting pool owners?
Our grow zone has gone 4 to 5a
    Have had a pool for 30 +
We now should open our pool almost a month earlier to prevent algae growth.
We are also closing it 2 weeks later.
