So this was a pretty easy repair but I think it's important to show them all whether easy or difficult.

When you see the sanitizer foam and can smell it while watching the video…
I just love ice machines 🥰
Ice machine season
Thanks Chris for sharing these videos. You have alot of wisdom to share.
Was the coil open?
Great job with the blurring of the phone screen to whoever edited this video. Service area Barrhaven??
Good job Chris.
I ran a KM-1600 Hoshi for 20 years. It was used when I bought it. Last 3 years 1/2 of the evaporator got loose but still made ice with a little adjustment on the water level sensor. Hoshi makes the best cube icemakers!!

Great Video. Thank you for sharing
I think the word you were looking for for that pump was "new old stock" haha… enjoy the videos, keep up the good work
Ice machine videos are awesome!! Service area Kanata??
i started to tell people about your channel in my Commercial AC class. keep up the great work 👍 Are you in Nepean ?
Lovely hair! I like it grown out a little bit on you! And as always, a wonderful video!
I wonder if a condensate pump one would put in a secondary pan would work as a temporary
Love your thorough explanations on all your videos. Top notch! Best HVAC videos out there!
Chris, you have to change your Meme now that you have more hair!!!!!!!! 🤣😂
Would (dedicated?) soft water reduce the calcium buildup? Might be worth getting the service.
Sunday morning routine coffee and hvacr videos
Big picture diagnosis
Dump valve Chris
great video very thorough,i like the hoshi.when the pump is not that bad,i replace the bearings and seals it is simple 30 min cost about 50.00 bucks, thanks for sharing.
Commercial service tech apprentice here. Really enjoy your videos and watching how you troubleshoot. Honestly they have helped me in my journey as I continue to learn and become the best tech I can be
Chris have you ever seen an A-1 flake ice machine? They make 6 tons in 24 hours!!! I've seen/worked on them at catering houses, SO FUN(sarcastic voice)
You did really well! Are you in Ottawa ?
Good morning Sir Cris Thank you for always delivering with precision to guarantee the work to be done. God Bless You and Family this Sunday always Service area Ottawa??
Since retiring from Hoshizaki 2 years ago as a tech advisor this has been like a trip back in time……..👍
Good use of new old stock on that pump. Waited 20 years for its turn.
Obviously not HACCP certified.
I was waiting to see if you stretch the “callback spring” aka pump out spring
Hoshazaki ice machines are the best ice machines on the market.
This unit wasn’t bad at all. The level of black mold I’ve seen in these units is crazy. I am in the south so it’s farm more humid hear but yeah I expected a black mold clog up on the spray rails from the other comments. There’s a lot we’re not seeing here #1 out of respect for his customers #2 he’s not servicing the really nasty places you guys have no clue what’s in these kitchens!
How do you get clear ice
What Model Machine Is That ?
These are always full of mold up too. Most places don’t clean them till they fail!
❄🇺🇸🙏👍💪 Great troubleshooting and information thanks for sharing 👍
Wow! Dude… You’re sprouting hair!! Lol. I’ve been gone for a while. Are you in Orleans ?
also i would like to add this is just the start , you go on the roof a condenser motor is bad and the condenser dirty, the water valve maybe should be replaced and the bin control is all dinged up, it looks like the bulb could fall in the ice bin at anytime Are you in Kanata ?
Can you touch on NTE'S and quoting repairs and just some tips on working under NTE's or maybe tips to deal with them. For those of us that are newer to NTE'S and quoting. Like this repair and how it related to their particular NTE if they had one. When do you stop and quote vs. just get verbal approval and repair.
Having watched so many of your videos it was shocking to see you grew your hair out in the closing words section.
You should assume most restaurants ice machines look like this.
want to laugh, i worked for 31 years for a company that repaired restaurant refrigeration, we did a lot of Hoshizaki repairs, installs and warranty, covid hit the company went out of business. The company threw away about 10 bin thermostats maybe 10 pumps, pc boards water valves etc, i bet it was 10000 worth of parts. Also customers have no idea- how expensive it is to repair i bet the cost of that repair was 1500- 2000 bucks
I admittedly don't have the first clue of what I'm looking at; but are those solder joints supposed to be in a 'V'-shape!?!?!…and if not, what in the world moved those pipes into that position?
The soldering on the machine is complete garbage. I get its old but where their damn Saiyan pride! lol
Geez.. I'll never have ice in my drink again without worrying if they cleaned their machine. This is disgusting.
