Is there something slowing down your hot tub heater? If your hot tub takes a long time to heat up, chances are you have one of two issues. Number one: you want to watch out for high ph and alkalinity when your total alkalinity and pH are too high. It can cause scale buildup in your hot tub and this can make your heater have to work extra hard so test and balance your water weekly, paying particular attention to fluctuations in PH and alkalinity. And number two, watch out for Bofilm buildup in the pipes.

This layer of Gunk builds up inside your hot tub plum over time and can block water from flowing through your hot tub. To remove Bofilm, use a line, flush, cleaner, and drain and clean your hot tub every 3 to four months.
